The Elfin Forest, a natural area located near the Morro bay Estuary, is known as “The Elfin Forest”. It`s home to pygmy oak trees that only grow to 20 feet tall due to poor soil quality and salty air.
These fairy-tale-like trees are adorned with lichen and moss, which adds to their magical, fairy-tale appearance. The Elfin Forest`s pygmy trees are home to many rare species, small mammals, reptiles and insects, as well as other plants.
A mile-long boardwalk loops through the park and offers stunning views of Morro Rock and Bay. Bush Lupine Point, and Sienna`s View are two platforms that provide great views for seabird viewing.
The Elfin Forest has 11 miles of trails open to hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders. Trail users are required to respect others` rights and be aware of rattlesnakes that can be found anywhere.
Daley Ranch
Daley Ranch is an area of conservation that includes over 20 miles worth of trails for horseback riding, hiking, biking and biking. This property, which covers 3,000 acres, is located adjacent to Dixon Lake. It includes oak woodlands and chaparral.

This adobe, which is also a California Point of Historic Interest (City of San Diego Historical Landmark), represents the first American farmers and ranchers who arrived in Southern California soon after becoming a state.
The farmhouse was restored using old, time-appropriate interior decorations and furniture from the past. Based on the original floorplan as a guide, the restoration began in 2009.
A tour of the adobe is available on Sunday, and visitors can also enjoy other attractions in the area including Grape Day Park. This park, which was established in 1930, has a Heritage Walk that showcases period buildings from days gone by.
